Beijing Intellectual Property Court Overrules TRAB's Decision

We are pleased to receive, at the end of the year, a Judgment from the Beijing Intellectual Property Court, which overruled the decision made by the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board (TRAB) in China to maintain a Chinese company’s registration of a trademark, which is identical to the mark of our client, a company in Europe.

Due to the registration of the mark by the Chinese company, our client is not permitted to use the mark in China on its products, which caused a very big problem to our client’s business in China.

With the above Judgment issued by the Beijing Intellectual Property Court, the Chinese company’s registration of the mark would be cancelled and our client would be allowed to register the mark in China.
